Katherine was born and raised in NYC and is a first generation American on both sides of her family. She originally went to NYU Tisch to be on the director, writer, and editor track in the Undergrad Film and Television program. But when she took a mandatory introductory course for sound design in her freshman year, she fell in love. Katherine went on to take more sound design classes and became one of the program’s certified ADR, Foley, and Re-Recording Mixer which got her on many student films. Among the myriad of student films in her portfolio, she was one of the dialogue editors for Parked In America, an NYU Advanced student pilot that had its world premiere in last year’s SXSW and is still in its festival run. Outside of Flavorlab, Katherine offers freelance post-sound services for short films. When not working, she uses her spare time to study French, work on her photography, and her writing. But when she’s relaxing and unwinding, you’ll usually find her going for a walk or playing video games.

Natalynn is a native New Yorker and a graduate of the Sonic Arts program at CUNY City College, where she studied music production and audio engineering. A lifelong vocalist and pianist, she has performed at venues all over New York City, from small stages to the Apollo Theater and Carnegie Hall, and has won awards from the National YoungArts Foundation, the ICCA Tournament, and the BMI Foundation. As an avid composer/songwriter, she has written and arranged for a cappella groups, instrumental ensembles, choirs, and solo performance. Most recently, she composed the underscore for a documentary short film about the racial injustice protests that took place in NYC over the summer of 2020. When she is not working at Flavorlab or working as a freelance composer/engineer, she likes to spend her time indoor rock climbing, trying new restaurants all over NYC, and traveling.
